ARSU Sledi Me
The sports association website for ARSU Sledi Me was a project we built from scratch, from strategy to a live site with an event calendar and local SEO for the running community in Sombor.

THE CHALLENGES WE FACED
An association lives by its calendar: if the date, the sign up and the results are not in one place, all of it ends up scattered across social media and disappears within a week. That is why the project started with the event calendar as its backbone rather than with the home page. First we listed what was being published by hand and where information was getting lost. The three problems below came out of that list, and they set the priorities for the whole sports association website.
1
The association had no professional digital presence, which means zero ranking for searches like “trkački klub Sombor” or “nordijsko hodanje Sombor”. Potential new members had no way to find the association organically.
2
Training sessions, events and competitions were posted piecemeal on Facebook and in Viber groups. Anyone interested had no single place to see the schedule, register or follow results from previous events.
3
Without a site with sections for disciplines, members and events, the association could not scale beyond its existing community or approach local sponsors, who expect a serious digital presence before they sign anything.
OUR APPROACH
We followed a four-phase process with the rule that the next phase does not start without approval of the previous one. A calendar, registrations and a results archive require the content to be dynamic, entered as data rather than typed out as a manual page. What that kind of system looks like when it is set up properly is explained on our Crocoblock dynamic websites page, while the general scope of a build is described on website development.
1
We analyzed the local sports community, mapped the other associations in the region and defined the keywords recreational runners and Nordic walkers use when they search.
2
We created a visual identity that reflects the energy and shared spirit of the association: dynamic, action driven, focused on the mobile user experience and fast access to the event calendar.
3
We built a WordPress site with Elementor Pro, optimized for speed: WebP images, lazy loading and LiteSpeed caching as standard, with sections for disciplines, news and events.
4
We configured RankMath Pro, set up SportsOrganization schema markup and made sure Google indexing was in place from day one after launch.
RESULTS OF DEDICATED WORK
The numbers below refer to the site after launch and can be verified with publicly available tools. For an association the real measure is a different one: whether more people sign up for the next event than for the last one, and whether search is what brought them. That part is built by publishing through the season, so a sports association website is paired with SEO content as a separate, ongoing service.
1
Google gives the site a perfect score, and it was technically ready for organic search from the first day after launch.
2
LCP under 1.2s on desktop, which Google classifies as “Good” under the Core Web Vitals standard. The industry average for WordPress sites is 3 to 4 seconds.
3
Zero milliseconds of JavaScript blocking on desktop. The site responds instantly to every click and scroll.
